Through the Vocational Education and Training in Schools (VETiS) program, Fit Education as a registered training organisation (RTO) offer’s years 11 and 12 (year 10 on application) high school students the opportunity to study school based sports and fitness courses as part of their Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE).

Fit Education specialises in sport and fitness courses from the Certificate through to Diploma level, skilling our future health and fitness generations.

Fit Education Teaching Options

Fit Education delivers the courses with different program options that will suit your school’s schedule as well as facilitate an efficient, enjoyable, and comprehensive learning environment.

Below are three options which encapsulate the teacher-based delivery methods used by our current schools. These can, however, be modified as required to suit your school.

  • Who are these course's for?

    The Fit Education school Based Sport and Fitness Course’s are tailored for school students in years 10, 11 and 12. Each school conducts their vocational program differently with courses starting in year 11 and a career pathway mapped through to year 12 with support into further tertiary education.

  • Entry Requirements

    Eligible students must meet the below criteria:

    • Are enrolled at a school that has a completed agreement (MOU) with Fit Education
    • Remain enrolled and attend a Queensland school through the duration of the program
    • Some exceptions to the above are in place and at the discretion of the School, Parents and Fit Education.

    Fit Education can deliver courses to school students individually and outside of Queensland and to student of a school where a MOU is not currently in place. Contact us to discuss your specific requirements.

  • My school doesn't have an arrangement in place with Fit Education, can I still enrol a student?

    Fit Education want to make sure our courses are made available to everyone. Individual Students, their Parents and the School are interviewed by Fit Education to ensure the appropriate amount of support is in place for the student to study the course without impacting school curriculum.

    Our school based Sport and Fitness Course qualifications are to prepare you for real world careers and pathways to Universities and Colleges. QCE and/or QTAC Ranking’s available for selected courses are outlined below:

  • Do you offer career pathways to Universities and Colleges

    Yes, Fit Education currently have an articulation agreement with Griffith University. It’s important for us to understand each student who is enrolled what their career goals are so we can work closely with the student, parent’s and school to map a clear pathway for future employment and study.

    With our Articulation arangement with Griffith University, Diploma of Sport Development graduates receive credit towards the 240CP degrees below:

    50CP credit transfer for the Bachelor of Business
    40CP credit transfer for the Bachelor of Sport Development

    Full details of these arrangements are listed in the University’s Credit Precedent and Articulation Database located a www.griffith.edu.au/credit via a search of Fit Education. Students will be required to meet the standard Griffith University program academic admission criteria.

  • How are the courses delivered?

    Our exceptional learning management system CLOUD ASSESS offers all the tools your student’s need to succeed. Your student’s can study with our state-of-the-art online course, use our professional equipment on campus, Study face to face in your environment or combine all. Whether you study online or face to face (or a combination of both), our expert tutors can guide and support you. That is our way of guaranteeing your student’s complete their course with the qualification’s expected to set their chosen career path.

    Fit Education have a three tier delivery method for school based programs, dependent on many variables which are customisable to suit your school and learning environment.

  • Teacher's qualifications

    As part of Fit Educations commitment to the school and student’s, on most occasion’s Fit Education offer an up skilling program without cost (excluding CertIV TAE) to one or more Physical Education Teachers to deliver course material and conduct practical assessment’s at the school.

    Minimum qualification’s to deliver our courses are below:

    • Certificate II in Sport and Recreation (SIS20115) VETiS
      • Delivery and teaching of theory – Certificate II in Sport and Recreation
      • Practical assessment – Certificate II in Sport and Recreation and Certificate IV TAE
    • Certificate III in Fitness (SIS30315)
      • Delivery and teaching of theory – Certificate III/IV in Fitness
      • Practical assessment – Certificate III in Fitness and Certificate IV TAE
    • Certificate IV in Fitness (SIS40215)
      • Delivery and teaching of theory – Certificate IV in Fitness and Diploma in Fitness
      • Practical assessment – Certificate IV in Fitness and Certificate IV TAE
