Become an accredited strength and conditioning coach with ASCA’s Level 1 Strength and Conditioning Course through Fit Education. This nationally accredited training will extend your training knowledge and position you as an expert in the industry.
As a professional personal trainer in Australia, the Level 1 Strength and Conditioning course will teach you how to design and apply specific training programs to improve the performance of athletes from club to regional level. You will learn how to evaluate and analyse the performance of individuals or groups, in a variety of settings, to help them achieve their performance goals.
Fit Education and the ASCA have teamed up to deliver industry relevant content to professionals, providing you with the resources to continually improve the service you offer to your clients. If you have already acquired Certificate III and IV in Fitness, this accreditation is a perfect complement to your qualification and offers a range of advantages including the ability to work in the same capacity in many countries.

Fit Education is a Registered Industry Provider for the Level 1 Strength and Conditioning Coaching Accreditation with the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA). After graduating from Fit Education with the relevant and current fitness qualifications, you may be eligible to become a Level 1 Strength and Conditioning Coach with ASCA.
Entry requirements
Entry to this course is open to individuals who have completed a Certificate III (SIS30321) and Certificate IV (SIS40221) with Fit Education, and who hold a current first aid and CPR certificate.

✔ Describe the ASCA Coach Education Programs and the ASCA professional Coach Accreditation Scheme.

✔ Design, implement and review conditioning training programs to improve athletic performance in club to regional level athletes/teams.
✔ Develop and apply appropriate coaching and teaching skills to match the physical and psychological development of the athlete to enhance sports performance.

✔ Outline coaching considerations when coaching special populations in a strength and conditioning context.

Depending on the experience and skills you obtained during this study, you can apply for exemptions from certain units in our other courses. If you think you have relevant experience, don’t hesitate to apply for Recognition of Previous Learning (RPL) for the Diploma of Sport with Fit Education. Other Continuing Education Courses for Fitness Australia reaccreditation are also available including the Nutrition Short Course and Online Trainer Short Course.
