Padua College is an independent Catholic boys’ day school for Years 5-12, conducted by the Franciscan Friars, with an enrolment of over 1,500 students. We are actively seeking a Strength and Conditioning Coach to join the College on a permanent basis.

The Strength and Conditioning Coach will be responsible for providing programming and coaching that includes but not limited to motivation, education, and guidance on proper nutrition, conditioning, resistance training, mobility, and recovery to help students develop to the best of their athletic ability.

Key Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Design and implement strength training and conditioning programs in-season, off-season, and preseason for all school-sanctioned athletic programs in a manner that reflects research driven practices and our college’s Long-Term Athletic/Fitness Development Model.
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate physical abilities, strengths, and areas for improvement.
  • Work in cooperation with the sports medicine or athletic training staff in the rehabilitation and strengthening of injured students.
  • Provide ongoing motivation and education on the importance of strength and conditioning.
  • Manage and maintain gym equipment and ensure that the gym is locked when not in use.
  • Manage and maintain an inventory of sporting equipment for all sports to ensure that they are adequately equipped.

To be considered for this role, candidates should have:

  • Relevant Strength and Conditioning or equivalent certification (required) coupled with experience working as a strength and conditioning coach or in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of strength and conditioning principles, injury prevention, and recovery techniques.
  • An ability to work autonomously, with demonstrated initiative and motivation to prioritise tasks effectively.
