Our Community Rugby League team are looking for an incredible individual to join their Brisbane team as a Club Support Coordinator!
We need someone with an operational understanding of the professional sports environment not just a passion for the on-field action. To us, Rugby League is more than a game. Working from community clubs to elite level, you’ll champion this remarkable game, and its impact on Queenslanders everywhere.
What you’ll do on a day-to-day:
For our Club Support Coordinator, we are seeking someone who thrives on challenges and is driven by finding practical solutions. You will work closely with a range of stakeholders inside and outside the organisation, providing guidance and support as needed. Representing our core beliefs, you will help develop plans that align with our overall strategy and ensure the well-being of our clubs. Some of the other responsibilities include:
- Supporting Clubs with resources for the smooth running of game day operations or major events while providing education on new ways of working.
- Working collaboratively with various stakeholders on targeted player, coach and match official development and registered participation in specific Clubs.
- Liaising with relevant Government Departments, to assist Clubs in identifying grant opportunities and provide support where possible.
- Being the QRL representative at events, forums & stakeholder meetings, developing and maintaining strong relationships with clubs, staff, volunteers and key stakeholders in their community.
- Supporting clubs with complaint handling, including member and child protection issues as they arise.
- Monitoring records for compliance and education for coaches, trainers and other volunteers and ensure that clubs adhere to the QRL requirements relating to accreditation, registration and insurance for participants.
- Review and monitor Club Health Checks within required time-frame and helping action any issues of significance.
- Providing ongoing advice on QRL and Whole of Game policies and advise of any key rule changes as noted by the relevant governing bodies.
What you’ll bring to the role:
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar operational role.
- A current driver’s license and eligible to obtain a Blue Card.
- An Undergraduate Degree preferably in Business/Sports Administration or working towards a relevant tertiary qualification.
- Microsoft office suite competence, with intermediate Excel skills.
- Knowledge of budgeting processes, governance & working across a diverse geographic spread.
- Ability to build rapport and foster relationships with variety of stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to apply a firm but consistent approach and to be authentic in dealings with stakeholders.
- Conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
ROLE SPECS
This is a permanent full-time position based out of Milton. The salary for this position is $73,510 plus superannuation. QRL remunerate based on the position requirements to ensure gender pay equity in sport. We offer 4 weeks annual leave and 1 week of refresh leave throughout the season as well as flexible working arrangements.
